Investment

Will I receive investment?

The Workplace Accelerator will directly invest $50,000 in the top 4 participants

We also expect each business to receive an investment by the end of the programme via members of our angel network.

We will more importantly work with you and introduce you to the parties that lead your next round.

The Workplace Accelerator also reserves the right to invest up to $100K more an agreed valuation upon acceptance into the programme.

Across the last two cohorts, $16m has been invested in the participants

Is the valuation negotiable?

This programme is designed for pre-seed and early seed stage businesses.

The Workplace Accelerator will make the offer based on where your business fits in the range.

Are there any costs involved?

The accelerator is an equity fee based programme.

We will charge 3-5% equity fee based on your company stage.

The value of the services delivered and created during the programme however will far out weight the cost of it though and provides ongoing access to our dedicated WorkTech ecosystem as you scale.

This is managed via a convertible SAFE note.

Any conditions on the investment?

No - all of the paperwork and terms will be very standard and founder friendly.

In the UK, there will be a preference for SEIS & EIS qualified ventures.

Selection and Participation

Is my start up suitable?

Unlike most accelerators, our programmes are hyper focused on a specific sector and geography.

As long as you are working on your startup full-time and have at least a working MVP with clients that fits the above criteria then you can apply.

What is the selection process?

There are multiple steps to the selection process which include.

1. Submitting your online application

2. 3 further meetings with our leadership team and one of our operating partners which will include a product demo

3. A team psychometric test

An offer letter and agreement will then go out before we announce the selected participants.

Where is the programme held?

We live in interesting times where movement is more restricted than usual.

As such, our programmes are run virtually with regular cohort interactions to share learnings and find ways to collaborate.

We will also facilitate networking sessions with the participants in the other markets.

Do I have to be a WorkTech company?

Yes - you do - and you must apply for the geographic programme where you are located.

Are there any requirements on participation?

We expect a high level of participation throughout the programme.  However we know you have businesses to run.

As such, as long as one founder or the respective functional leader can attend the masterclasses and 121s that is fine.

We reserve the right to remove teams that frequently cancel on client mentors or miss investor meetings.

Who will we meet throughout the programme?

Who are the Operating Partners ?

The operating partners are proven WorkTech experts with a track record of building, scaling, leading, investing in and exiting ventures in the space.

Each one is committed to your success and remunerated with part of the programme fee so equally tied to your long term success.

Who are Lunch & Learns with?

We have lined up a range of excellent speakers for you in addition to the masterclasses.

These will be with a mix of top tier VCs actively investing in the Worktech Space in your geography as well as a number of Worktech entrepreneurs who are 1 or 2 stages ahead of you.

Our programme is designed to give you the access and the insight for your stage now with tangible guidance and relevant contacts.

You will also get sessions with other service providers like lawyers and accountants who can help yo

Who are the Client Mentors?

The mentors are all highly respected HR and Recruitment Leadership professionals with deep knowledge of their industries and function.

They have a keen interest in learning more about WorkTech to improve their own organsiations as well as helping early stage ventures to grow.

They will provide real market feedback and help you to get access to world class pilots.
